Inclusive Excellence Plan

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHSS) actively seeks to cultivate a diverse, equitable, and inclusive academic environment at Mason. Building on the framework provided by Mason’s Anti-racism and Inclusive Excellence (ARIE) Task Force, CHSS has developed a detailed Inclusive Excellence Plan that includes specific goals in five key clusters: (a) student curriculum, recruitment, and success; (b) faculty and staff recruitment; (c) faculty and staff development; (d) academic research and practice; and (e) campus and community engagement. In consultation with the CHSS Inclusive Excellence Council, the CHSS DEI team  is currently working with all CHSS Departments and Programs to implement the CHSS Inclusive Excellence Plan and track progress in achieving the plan’s goals.
